About the Job
Intel Labs is seeking a Robotics research Student Worker / Research Scientist to join its team in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating new artificial intelligence algorithms for Robotics inspired by human-AI interaction. This role requires some familiarity with techniques in machine learning, deep learning, robot control, and/or natural language processing, as well as relevant software frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and evaluate new artificial intelligence algorithms for Robotics
• Explore methods to improve retrieval-based pipelines from complex metadata in documents
• Utilize state-of-the-art principles and theories
• Form strong relationships with university researchers and key collaborators
• Contribute to Intel technologies and/or the scientific literature
Qualifications
• Student enrolled in a Master’s, PhD, or post-program in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer science, statistics, electrical engineering, or a relevant engineering/science discipline
• 1+ years of research experience in machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processing
• 1+ years of experience in development of algorithms in high-level languages such as Python, C++, Java, etc.
• Prior research in Large Language Models and understanding of optimization techniques
• Intermediate to advanced English level
• Must have unrestricted – permanent right to work in Mexico
Preferred Qualifications
• Publications in top-tier conferences and journals in machine learning related fields (NeurIPS, ICML, AAAI, ACL, etc.)
• 1+ years of experience in robotics research
• 1+ years of experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet, etc.)
• Prior research in Vision-Language Systems and RAG pipelines
