What You’ll Actually Do
• Legal Support: Assist the firm’s Office of General Counsel in providing legal and risk management support to the firm and its personnel.
• Policy Communication: Communicate regularly with firm partners, associates, other lawyers, and staff members, responding to questions about key risk management policies.
• Data Management: Assist in maintaining up-to-date conflicts databases and help establish and maintain certain internal information screens.
• Document Analysis: Review and analyze engagement letters and client outside counsel guidelines.
• Research & Training: Assist with legal and ethics research and analysis, and draft materials for internal firm trainings, contributing to professional development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school.
• Experience: Minimum 3.5 G.P.A. and a willingness to make a two-year commitment to the firm.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication talents; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under time constraints; ability to take ownership of responsibilities and meet deadlines with minimal oversight; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Bonus: Ability to work overtime and to travel when needed.
