Risk Management Internship Role

Position Purpose

The primary purpose of a Risk Management intern is to support the firm’s oversight of credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks by assisting in daily monitoring, analysis, mitigation, and reporting activities. Interns contribute to the department’s mission of serving as the firm’s “guard tower”—actively scanning for potential risks, helping to identify, mitigate, and escalate issues, and reinforcing processes that protect the financial health and longevity of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze futures markets and produce risk assessments on products and client portfolios.
  • Assist the Market Risk Team in producing portfolio assessments and risk decisions.
  • Analyze client margin performance and assist the risk team in client assessments.
  • Requesting and recording audited financial statements and other financial data.
  • Spreading and processing client financial data.
  • Assist the Credit Team in producing a credit assessment and risk decisions.
  • Support the Risk Tech Team in development work and data management.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, other financial tools and programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with an aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to sharing ideas with the team.

Early Careers Program Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant program and graduating between December 2026 and August 2027 (entering penultimate year of university).
  • Available for a June 2026 start date for an 8 – 10-week program.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (preferably Excel).
  • Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.

Working Environment

  • 5 days in-office.
  • Travel requirements (if applicable).
