Job Description: RF/EMI Systems Engineer Intern (Job ID: 683320BR)
Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly motivated and talented RF/EMI Systems Engineer Intern with experience in Software Defined Radio (SDR) for their Orlando location. This internship is part of the Lockheed Martin Intern Academy and involves rotations across different 21st-century security-critical skills assignments within a 21CS domain program.
Responsibilities: The intern will assist experienced engineers in various tasks, including:
• Generating performance predictions from developed system solutions and requirements.
• Developing MATLAB code.
• Creating summary plots and charts.
• Collaborating closely with systems and design engineers and subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Learning and understanding C++ and basic guidance principles.
Intern Academy Requirements:
This internship program involves two rotational assignments, totaling approximately 320 hours of summer practicum experience (one location per academic year). It also includes approximately 80 hours of summer training and 10 hours of academic year training. Interns may also opt to participate in recruitment efforts as intern ambassadors for an additional 10 hours during the academic year.
Qualifications:
• Basic Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a relevant engineering discipline.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (interim clearance required before starting).
• A strong desire to learn and understand C++ and basic guidance principles.
• Desired Skills:
• Proficiency in MATLAB and C++.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Information:
• Security Clearance: A government security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Work Location: Onsite, full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• Work Schedule: A 4×10-hour work week, with three days off per week.
• Relocation: Not available.
