This is a full-time, hybrid role located in Lake Forest, CA, where you will be an integral part of the Finance team supporting U.S. and Canadian entities. The Revenue Associate ensures the accuracy and completeness of critical revenue-related data and documentation, playing a key role in timely financial close activities and accurate financial reporting. Your contributions will be central to AVEVA’s continued growth and its transition to a subscription-based business model.

• Mission: Ensures accurate and complete revenue data and documentation for U.S. and Canadian entities, supporting financial reporting and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contract Review: Thoroughly review customer contracts and associated support documentation to ensure accurate system setup and proper revenue recognition, adhering strictly to company policies.
• Transaction Validation: Execute detailed reviews of revenue transactions and meticulously validate revenue schedules to confirm their accuracy and completeness before final processing.
• Close Activities: Actively support and contribute to critical month-end, quarter-end, and year-end revenue close activities, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
• Data Integrity: Rigorously validate revenue data, proactively investigating and resolving any discrepancies identified between various source systems and official financial reports.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare comprehensive revenue-related reports, detailed schedules, and all necessary supporting documentation for thorough management review and audit purposes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher; foundational understanding of commercial contracts and revenue accounting principles, suitable for an early-career professional.
• Experience: One to two years of revenue accounting experience, specifically within the software industry.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reconciliations, and managing large datasets.
• Bonus: IFRS experience; experience with Oracle software; ability to utilize AI-assisted tools for efficiency in reporting, documentation, and business insights.
