Job Description (Internship)

This is an internship opportunity with TTI, involving a key partnership with one of their largest retail business partners, The Home Depot. The internship aims to provide a fundamental understanding of TTI’s general business practices while offering insight into current and future internal opportunities within sales, management, marketing, and operations. Interns will also be partnered with a TTI mentor for industry knowledge, career guidance, and exploration of future opportunities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

Delivering best-in-class sales and customer service by directly engaging with consumers in The Home Depot, demonstrating in-depth product knowledge and enthusiasm for TTI product lines.
Supporting and executing strategic marketing initiatives and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and sales.
Analyzing sales performance and gathering competitive insights to assess market potential and inform local sales strategies.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with store associates and management to foster collaboration and improve business outcomes.
Communicating professionally with customers, retail staff, and TTI team members to ensure alignment and uphold brand standards.
Leading in-store product training and demonstrations to educate retail associates, store leadership, and customers on key product features and benefits.
Planning and executing promotional events, product demos, and store walks to drive consumer engagement and increase product sell-through.
Monitoring and managing inventory levels, ensuring product availability and optimal shelf presence.
Driving sales growth of Milwaukee®, Ryobi®, and other TTI brands through retail campaigns, product placements, and live demonstrations.
Completing assigned projects and professional developmental tasks on time to enhance business acumen, apply core business principles, and leverage provided resources in real-world retail scenarios.
Partnering with a TTI mentor to gain industry knowledge, receive career guidance, and explore future opportunities within the organization.

Job and Employment Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a related 4-year degree; rising Juniors and Seniors are preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship or restrictions.
Ability to work in a retail environment and stand for the duration of the shift (excluding breaks).
Ability to work nights and weekends.
Capable of lifting and transporting heavy products (up to 50 lbs.) and requesting assistance as needed.
Capable of reaching and/or lifting overhead, in addition to ascending/descending ladders to move product.
Capable of using hands to maneuver small objects, assemble tools, and build displays.
Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned territory and may be required to travel to neighboring territories.
• Applicant must be MS Office proficient.
• Applicant should be self-motivated and a team player with strong organizational and planning skills.

Compensation:

• This is a Salary Non-Exempt / Part-Time Position, eligible for overtime.
• The pay rate is $18/hour.
• Benefits include a Company iPad.
401K with a company match of 50% up to 8% of the employee’s salary.
Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
