Job Description: Retail Operations Intern
Location: 2801 W Bancroft Street Toledo, OH
Schedule: To be determined based on class schedule and business needs.
Pay Range: $13.50 per hour

General Description:
As a Retail Operations Intern, you will be working closely with hospitality leaders at the University of Toledo. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop skills and competencies needed to succeed in the hospitality industry. You will gain valuable experience in areas like:
• Operations
• Marketing
• Administration
• Guest services
• Problem resolution
• Planning and implementation of innovation
• Client relationship skills
Requirements:
• Interest in the hospitality and service industry
• Leadership attitude

• Enjoy building relationships
• General interest and knowledge
• Awareness of sustainability practices
• Interest in one or more of the following: Sustainability, Carbon footprint, Farm to Fork, Quality Assurance
Job Responsibilities (May include any or all):
• Executing operational standards
• Managing financials, P+L, and Loss Prevention
• Ensuring Safety and Quality Assurance: Safe food in a safe environment
• Providing an exceptional guest experience
• Handling Client Relations and Contractual Commitments
• Contributing to Associate learning and development
• Providing operational support of serving platforms
• Working in different settings: Front of House (FOH), Back of House (BOH), Catering, Marketing, and Administration
• Managing people (schedules, time management)
• Managing inventory
Learning Objectives:
• Develop awareness, understanding, and skills needed to work in a diverse environment.
• Gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the hospitality industry.
