Job Description: Retail Management Internship
The Retail Management Internship at Love’s is an 11-week program designed to provide hands-on experience in managing high-volume, fast-paced travel centers. This includes exposure to food service and truck care operations. Interns will work alongside seasoned leaders to learn various aspects of the business, aiming to set them on a path toward a rewarding career with Love’s.

Job Functions:
• Participate in hands-on training across various operational areas: store, fuel, food, and truck care.
• Develop business acumen by learning strategies to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
• Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
• Gain experience in delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues.
• Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
• Understand and help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
• Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and leaders from various departments.
Requirements:
• Must be currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year program, pursuing a degree in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Additional screening may include a motor vehicle check and/or DOT Physical.
Skills and Demands:
• Must be confident interacting with customers and team members, with the potential to lead.
• Willingness to learn by doing in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Ability to navigate various computer programs, systems, and technology tools as part of daily operations.
• Must be able to talk, hear, move around, lift up to 50 pounds, and see clearly to perform job duties.
