Job Description: Retail Intern
The Retail Intern position offers a paid, hands-on work experience within Kwik Trip’s fast-paced, guest-centric Retail Management Department at Kwik Trip 453. The primary focus of this internship is to support the retail team.
Key responsibilities and exposure include:
• Supporting the retail department predominantly.
• Gaining exposure to a variety of leadership styles and related activities.
• Involvement in marketing activities.
• Assisting with inventory control.
• Exposure to accounting and auditing processes.
• Participation in ordering procedures.
• Experience with Human Resource responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Pay Range: $16.99 to $22.99 per hour. Actual pay is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity.
• Bonuses: Eligible for Kwik Trip’s profit-sharing bonus program, which distributes 8-12% of gross annual wages based on company profitability.

Qualifications required:
• Actively working toward the obtainment of a 2 or 4-year degree.
• Possess a high aptitude for learning a variety of tasks.
• Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Maintains accuracy and attention to detail.
• Is self-motivated.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Proven team player.
• Possess strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Work Schedule:
• Shift: Variable.
• Hours: Internship hours may vary with workload.
• Minimum Commitment: Students must be willing to work a minimum of 20 hours per week (Monday through Sunday) during school semesters.
• School Breaks: Potentially up to 40 hours during school breaks.
• Flexibility: Kwik Trip offers flexibility with school scheduling to accommodate student needs.
