This job is for a Retail Cashier Floater at Jacksons, a company that appears to operate convenience stores.
Job Overview:
• Pay: $20.70 – $22.20 per hour.
• Role: A floater cashier provides coverage and assistance to various store locations within a specified geographic region. Your work location will change daily, filling in for absences, vacations, or vacant positions.

• Shift: Full-time, with varying shifts and store assignments.
• Requirements: Reliable transportation is essential as you will be traveling to different stores within the district. You must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities:
• Greet customers with a smile and thank them for their business.
• Provide fast, friendly service and accurate product information.
• Ring up sales, apply discounts/promotions, and follow laws/policies regarding restricted sales (tobacco, alcohol).
• Prepare accurate cashier checkout reports.
• Maintain store cleanliness, both inside and outside.
• Properly label, rotate, and stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
• Adhere to safety/security guidelines and report incidents immediately.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Where applicable, fuel customers’ cars, check engine fluids, and wash windows (required in Oregon and for handicapped customers).
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling/prep/storage/disposal procedures.
• Book Floaters Only – Reconcile daily paperwork when covering shifts and completing daily deposits.
• Additional duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate:
• Can work flexible shifts, including rotating shifts, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Is of legal age to sell restricted products (alcohol, tobacco). (NV Only – must be of legal age to work in an establishment with slot machines.)
• Has a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
• Possesses excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Has previous retail or cashier experience.
• Demonstrates leadership by example.
• Is a strong team player.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Must be able to work safely in conditions that include heat, cold, allergens, noise, and fumes/chemicals/odors from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
