Job Overview
PenFed is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Banker to join our team at the Pope Army Airfield branch in North Carolina. This role is crucial for extending and deepening member relationships by providing tailored financial solutions and services. The Retail Banker will also be trained to efficiently and accurately process cash transactions as required.

- Guide members through the loan process, including inputting loan applications, reviewing terms and conditions, and facilitating disbursement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape within the financial services industry.
- Possess strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Provide assistance with cash transactions when necessary to meet member needs and deliver a best-in-class member experience.
- Offer support to other branches, which may include working weekends and/or extended hours as required for business operations.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency in operating all internal PenFed systems or platforms, including but not limited to SalesForce, PenTeller, Knowledge, Hogan, and the inbound calls network, to support member and business needs.
- Support additional PenFed initiatives to meet member and business requirements.
- If a Notary Public, responsible for providing Notary Services to members while strictly adhering to all state laws and regulations related to document notarization.
- Provide in-bound call support, where required.
Qualifications
(Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.)
- Associate Degree in a related field such as business management, business administration, or finance.
- Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated successful sales experience is required.
- Minimum of at least six (6) months of cash handling experience.
- Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry, products, and solutions.
- Valid Notary Public, preferred.
- Previous phone-based customer service experience, preferred.
- Bilingual-Spanish, preferred.
- Experience in using A.I. tools, preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will not supervise employees.
Licenses and Certifications
There are no additional certifications required.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*
Travel
Ability to travel to various worksites due to coverage needs is required.
