Job Description:
This is a paid internship opportunity specifically designed for students entering their second year of a Respiratory Therapy education program in the fall semester. The position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform basic respiratory care duties as directed by medical staff and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Work under the supervision of a designated preceptor throughout each rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.
Location:
• US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility. This job is ON-SITE.

Experience Requirements:
• Successful completion of all first-year clinical rotations for the respiratory therapy program is required.
• Must be and remain in good standing within the respiratory therapy program.
• Clinical experience in a hospital, home care, or skilled nursing facility is preferred.
• Membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care/state Society for Respiratory Care is preferred.
Education Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in an entry or advanced level accredited Respiratory Therapy Education program is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Licensure Requirements:
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
