Location: Farmington Hills Hospital, 28050 Grand River Ave, Farmington Hills
Department: Respiratory Therapy
Employment Type: Full Time (36 hours per week)
Shift: Night (6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.)
Days Worked: Variable, Every other weekend

About The Unit: Respiratory Care Department

Our Respiratory Care Department is dedicated to delivering comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients of all ages. Our team of skilled respiratory therapists collaborates closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care. This includes advanced diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and vital patient education. We leverage the latest technology and evidence-based practices to effectively manage and treat a wide array of respiratory conditions, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients. Scope of Work

Under the supervision of an assigned preceptor and/or the license of their Supervisor, the Respiratory Therapy graduate will:

  • Implement and evaluate diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
  • Participate actively in the education of patients regarding their respiratory health.
  • Provide technical support for all equipment integral to the practice of Respiratory Care.
  • Assist patients of all ages, facing acute and chronic illness, in their journey to return to a productive lifestyle.

Qualifications

  • Required Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Eligible for position after attainment of RRT NBRC status (Required).
  • LIC-Respiratory Therapist – STATE_MI State of Michigan within 90 days (Required).
  • CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry – NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care within 90 days (Required).
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire (Required) Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire (Required).
