This position is for an Hourly role within Respiratory Therapy at OSF HealthCare.
• Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $22.12/hour.
• Position Summary (Overview):
The individual in this role is responsible for providing respiratory therapy to patients as directed by prescribing physicians, ensuring that the therapy provided is appropriate for the ages of the patients served. Key responsibilities also include monitoring levels of supplies and equipment for the department and restocking supply rooms and patient care areas as needed, following established procedures. This role may also involve performing respiratory services ordered by a provider, under the direct supervision of a credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Qualifications:
• Required Qualifications:
• Education: Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapist program and must have successfully completed the first semester of the program. To maintain employment status within the respiratory therapy department, continued active enrollment in the program is mandatory, and the individual cannot exceed three years from the start to the finish of the respiratory program.
• License/Certification: A current American Heart BLS (Basic Life Support) card is required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Other Skills: Basic electronic medical record (EMR) documentation skills are preferred.
