Job Description
Job Title: Residential Real Estate Intern
Compensation: The compensation range is an estimate based on market data. The actual amount may vary depending on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. Candidates are encouraged to discuss compensation philosophy details with their recruiter.
Role Overview:
This internship provides a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in both marketing and residential real estate. The intern will collaborate with both the brokerage and marketing teams to support branding initiatives, property listings, digital content creation, and general real estate functions. This role is ideal for self-starters who are creative, organized, and eager to learn, particularly those pursuing a degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
Responsibilities:
• Perform preparation duties and conduct showings of residential real estate.
• Assist with marketing efforts across Lange Real Estate and other LANGE brands.
• Support and manage digital presence on social media platforms.
• Create property flyers, marketing packages, and various branded content.
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns aligned with current industry trends.
• Coordinate with vendors for signage and publication placement.
• Learn about and assist with real estate contracts and legal documents.
• Shadow agents to gain an understanding of residential market best practices.
• Operate and assist with real estate platforms such as MLS, Dotloop, and others.
• Collaborate with the brokerage team to support listing efforts and enhance brand presence.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a university degree program in marketing, business, real estate, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Proficiency in managing and creating content for social media.
• Ability to quickly learn real estate-specific software and marketing techniques.
• Possession of reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Prior experience with real estate or marketing systems (e.g., MLS, Dotloop, Canva).
Work Environment and Conditions:
• Physical Demands: The role involves light work, requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If arm and/or leg controls require greater exertion than for sedentary work, and the worker primarily sits, the job is still rated as light work.
• Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity is required for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection (involving small defects, small parts, machine operation), using measurement devices, and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at close distances.
• Environmental Conditions: The worker is generally not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, similar to typical office or administrative work. However, activities can occur both inside and outside.
• Communication: Most of the workday involves communicating with individuals via phone.
Reporting Structure: The Residential Real Estate Intern reports to the Residential Team Lead.
Location: Wichita, KS.
Position Type/Hours: This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential for weekend and/or evening work.
Overtime: Overtime is allowed only with prior approval.
Travel Requirement: Travel is minimal, less than 5%.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
