Job Description: Research Intern
Research Internships at Microsoft Research New England offer doctoral candidates a chance to contribute to cutting-edge research in machine learning and statistics. Responsibilities:**
Research Interns are expected to actively participate in research, putting theory into practice. Key responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with fellow doctoral candidates and experienced researchers.
• Contributing to exciting research and development projects.
• Working with a mentor throughout the 12-week internship.
• Presenting research findings.
• Actively participating in the research community.
Qualifications:**
• Required: Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science or a related STEM field. Physical presence at the Microsoft worksite in New England for the duration of the internship is mandatory. A cover letter, research samples, and at least two reference letters are required.
• Preferred: Demonstrated ability to develop original research agendas; effective collaboration with other researchers and product development teams; proficient interpersonal skills and cross-cultural collaboration abilities.
Compensation:**
The base pay range is USD $6,550 – $12,880 per month, with a higher range (USD $8,480 – $13,920 per month) applicable to specific locations within the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan areas.
