The Disney Entertainment Content division is a powerhouse in creating award-winning content across a vast portfolio of television brands and businesses, including ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Disney Branded Television, FX, Freeform, Nat Geo, and Hulu Originals. This dynamic division is home to talented storytellers and creators, responsible for developing, producing, and programming exceptional content with unparalleled scale and reach, totaling over 300 programs and more than 4,500 hours of programming annually across linear networks and streaming platforms such as Disney+, Hulu, and Star.

This internship opportunity sits within the Disney Entertainment Research, Insights, and Analytics team, which plays a pivotal role in partnering closely with senior leaders across Content, Strategy, and Marketing. The team delivers critical audience and content performance insights that inspire creative development and inform overarching content strategy.

As an intern, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering impactful data insights that influence a wide range of strategic decisions shaping the future of television at Disney Entertainment. This role specifically supports research for ABC Entertainment, Disney Branded Television (DBT), and Freeform programs across both linear and streaming platforms, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Research, Insights & Analytics for ABC.

This is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Burbank, CA area, spanning from June 2026 to January 2027.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):

During this internship, you will gain hands-on experience in analyzing viewership and audience data to assess the performance of content across broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. This experience will allow you to develop a strong foundation in understanding the current viewership landscape and effective data communication within a major entertainment company.

Your responsibilities will include:
Producing and distributing core data reports using first- and second-party data on a daily/weekly basis.
Analyzing the rapidly changing competitive landscape to better understand viewership and consumer behavior, illuminate viewing trends, and provide insights into content performance and audience preferences across linear and streaming platforms.
Assisting members of the department with various tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• A proven ability to understand and interpret data and trending.
Willingness to be flexible and eager to learn new software and data organization processes.
Strong proficiency in MS Office, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• A strong interest in the content business; a consumer comfortable working with numbers, including conducting written analysis of shows across linear, streaming, and social platforms.
• A clear and confident communicator who thrives in a matrixed, cross-functional environment, effectively working across business, insights, analytics, data, and technology teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate may also have:
• Proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and/or SQL.
• Previous internship experience within the entertainment industry.

Education:

Junior or Senior year preferred at the time of the internship.
• Major or previous coursework in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Social Science, or a related major preferred.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: Please note, you may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess unrestricted work authorization.

Additional Information:

• This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Burbank, CA area from June 2026-January 2027.
• You must be able to maintain a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
• You must be fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
• You will be responsible for providing your own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, CA area.
• You must provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.

Compensation:
