A key group within this AI research is the Foundation Model Powered AI Enablers team, which originated from the Silicon Valley AI research. This team is crucial in shaping the future of industrial AI experiences for Bosch. They conduct research and develop scalable and transparent AI & big data analytic solutions (e.g., audio, images, sensor logs) by fusing cutting-edge machine learning, data analysis, and interactive visualization technologies. Their work spans domains like Industry 4.0 (I4.0), IoT, autonomous driving, and connected vehicles. This team is award-winning (IEEE VIS best paper & best paper runner-ups) and actively collaborates with leading academic and industry groups, disseminating findings in top AI conferences and journals (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ICRA, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, TVCG, SIGGRAPH).

Job Description (Detailed)

This role focuses on research and engineering in human-assisted AI and eXplainable AI (XAI). The work will contribute to Bosch’s AIoT business domains, which include but are not limited to:
ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems)
Connected Vehicles
Industry 4.0
IoT (Internet of Things)
Car Multimedia

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and engineering in human-assisted AI and eXplainable AI (XAI).
Implement research results to solve real-world challenges.
Ensure high-quality system integration within Bosch’s existing platforms.
Document and disseminate research findings through high-caliber publications and/or patent submissions.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s students in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Research Experience: 3+ years of research experience, or an equivalent graduate research background, primarily in visual analytics, eXplainable AI (XAI), AI agents, applied machine learning and related fields.
Publications: Demonstrated ability through publications in premier visualization, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision journals and conferences.
Full Stack Web Development: 2+ years of experience in full stack web development, covering both:
Frontend (e.g., React, Vue.js, and D3.js)
Backend (e.g., Flask, Django)
Programming Languages: 2+ years of programming experience with one or more scripting or statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
