Job Description: Research and Development – Wound Care Intern 2025
This is a full-time, 12-week summer internship (May 19th – August 8th) located in Ann Arbor, MI. The role focuses on silicone projects within the company’s Research and Development department. Specific responsibilities may include:
• Automotive Sealing Applications: This involves developing and mixing formulations, molding test samples, performing mechanical and rheological tests, and conducting high-temperature flame tests (under supervision).
• General Responsibilities: The intern will demonstrate a solid understanding of the scientific method, analyze data, present results and conclusions to drive product development, and work within a globally-distributed, cross-functional team. Responsibilities also include project innovation, routine lab work, product sampling, production testing, and product & data analysis of silicone products to understand chemical behavior and market applicability.
Qualifications:
• Currently a rising sophomore or higher pursuing a college degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
• Full-time availability (Monday-Friday) from May 19th to August 8th.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain confidentiality.
• Basic laboratory skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and positively represent the company.
