Description:
Tacoma Power is seeking an intern to join their Energy Research and Development team. This paid internship offers hands-on experience supporting innovative energy projects and customer programs. The role involves quantitative and qualitative research, communication, researching new technologies, data management, report writing, and creating media content.
Responsibilities:
• Supporting innovative energy projects and customer programs.
• Conducting quantitative and qualitative research.
• Researching new technologies.
• Managing data.
• Writing reports.
• Creating media content.
• Contributing to clean energy programs, transportation electrification, community engagement, and environmental stewardship.
Qualifications:
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED (1 year of experience = 1 year of education).
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of post-high school training.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License may be required.
Skills:
• Ability to research, read, and summarize information.
• Creative, curious, and confident.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience or interest in grant writing and grant management.
• Aptitude for project management.
