Representative | Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
The Tone:
This is a full-time, field-based role at Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), covering an assigned area. FCA is dedicated to ministering to coaches and athletes in the world of sport, aiming to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. This role is fundamental to implementing FCA’s ministry plan, ensuring a consistent and impactful approach to discipleship. The Representative is crucial for fostering spiritual growth, aligning all activities with biblical standards, and upholding FCA’s core values and policies within sports environments.

• Team: Reports to the Director and collaborates with an Advisory Team.
• Mission: Owns the consistent and impactful discipleship of coaches and athletes within FCA Sports Environments, ensuring ministry aligns with biblical standards and FCA policies.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Ministry Discipleship: Engage, equip, and empower coaches and athletes through one-on-one interactions, Huddles, and Events, while also training staff and volunteers to be disciple-makers in sports environments.
• Volunteer Management: Oversee the recruiting, training, and development of diverse and effective volunteers who lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
• Advisory Team Engagement: Invite, involve, and invest in an Advisory Team that is committed to providing prayer, service, and financial support for the ministry.
• Financial Stewardship: Connect with, communicate to, and care for existing and prospective financial partners to achieve full funding, manage finances, and execute an annual budget and funding plan.
• International Support: Collaborate with the Director to serve the aligned International Region by praying for, giving to, and participating in global initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep personal commitment to the Christian faith, actively demonstrated through adherence to biblical standards of conduct and full agreement with FCA’s Christian Community Statement. This includes regular participation in a local church community and maintaining a personal spiritual rhythm of daily prayer and Bible study.
• Experience: Proven experience in spiritual leadership, including the ability to lead, conduct, and provide guidance for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, and worship. Demonstrated capability in discipleship, mentorship, and empowering others to become disciple-makers within a ministry context. Experience in recruiting, training, and developing volunteers is also essential.
