Rentals Leadership Intern
Overview:
Are you ready to take on a dynamic leadership role in a fast-paced waterpark environment? As a Rentals Leadership Intern, you will be at the forefront of ensuring an exceptional guest experience by overseeing the daily operation of our premium waterpark attractions. This includes managing our popular cabana rentals, tube rentals, comfortable beach loungers, and exclusive reserved seating options. Your critical responsibilities will extend to training and developing our dedicated Rentals Attendant team, diligently monitoring the daily performance of all attractions, and consistently striving to provide an enhanced and memorable guest experience for every visitor. This role offers an invaluable opportunity to hone your leadership, operational management, and guest service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Engagement & Sales Excellence:
- Greet guests with a warm, friendly demeanor, actively working to create a fun-filled and upgraded experience from arrival.
- Proactively upsell premium upgraded experiences and rental options to guests, maximizing revenue and guest satisfaction.
- Review all rental reservations for the day and strategically set clear sales goals for the Rentals Attendant team.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and develop the Rentals Attendant team through comprehensive on-the-job training and consistent follow-up training across all job responsibilities.
- Actively assist in fostering and promoting a high-morale, positive, and effective work environment for all team members.
- Regularly coach, counsel, and evaluate team members, providing constructive feedback for their development and performance.
- Issue appropriate corrective action to team members for issues related to attendance, cash handling discrepancies (over/shorts), or performance as necessary, strictly adhering to park policies.
- Efficiently coordinate team member break times, ensuring compliance with Six Flags policies and maintaining operational coverage.
- Operational Oversight & Maintenance:
- Maintain the impeccable upkeep and cleanliness of all water park rental locations.
- Conduct routine checks of rental locations to identify and promptly address any maintenance needs.
- Ensure all daily opening and closing checklists are completed thoroughly and accurately as directed by leadership.
- Execute all inventory control functions, including monitoring inventory levels of tubes, loungers, etc., and ordering product as necessary to prevent shortages.
- Policy Adherence & Reporting:
- Uphold and enforce all Park and Department policies among the Rentals Attendant team.
- Adhere strictly to the park attendance policy as outlined in the Team Member Handbook.
- Report all pertinent operational information, guest feedback, and team performance updates to Full-time leadership promptly.
- Successfully follow and execute delegated tasks as assigned by Full-time leadership.
- Cross-Functional Support & Improvement:
- Provide flexible assistance in the Retail locations as needed, demonstrating teamwork and adaptability.
- Actively contribute by providing constructive feedback and innovative ideas for operational improvements to upper management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Age: Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of a seasonal attraction.
- Work Environment: Must be willing and able to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions (e.g., heat, sun, light rain).
