Rentals Leadership Intern
Overview
As a Rentals Leadership Intern, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the seamless operation of waterpark attractions related to rentals. This includes managing cabana rentals, tube rentals, beach loungers, and reserved seating areas. Your responsibilities will extend to training the rentals attendant team, diligently monitoring the daily operation of all attractions under your purview, and consistently striving to provide an enhanced and memorable guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly demeanor, actively working to create a fun-filled and upgraded experience through exceptional service.
- Ensure the continuous upkeep and pristine presentation of all water park rental locations.
- Proactively upsell upgraded experiences and premium rental options to guests, maximizing revenue and guest satisfaction.
- Review all rental reservations for the day and strategically set clear, achievable sales goals for the rental attendant team within the park.
- Routinely inspect all rental locations to identify and address any maintenance needs promptly, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
- Lead Team Member development through comprehensive on-the-job training, followed by consistent follow-up training across all job responsibilities.
- Actively assist in developing and promoting a high morale, positive, and effective work environment for all team members.
- Coaches, counsels, and evaluates team members regularly to foster growth and address performance.
- Issue corrective action to team members when necessary, addressing issues related to attendance, over/shorts in cash handling, or performance deficiencies.
- Coordinate break times for the team in strict adherence to Six Flags policies and operational needs.
- Maintain and ensure that all opening and closing checklists are completed thoroughly and as directed, maintaining operational standards.
- Execute all inventory control functions, including meticulously monitoring inventory levels and ordering products as necessary to prevent shortages.
- Adhere to the park’s attendance policy as clearly stated in the Team Member Handbook.
- Responsible for consistently enforcing all Park and Department policies among the team and guests.
- Provide assistance in Retail locations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Offer constructive feedback and innovative ideas for improvement to upper management, contributing to operational excellence.
- Report all pertinent information, observations, and incidents to Full-time leadership promptly and accurately.
- Successfully follow and complete all delegated tasks as assigned by Full-time leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum Age: 16 years old.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
- Must be willing and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, adapting to environmental changes.
- Must demonstrate professionalism, be self-motivated, possess the ability to multi-task effectively, and maintain an enthusiastic attitude.
- Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time during shifts.
