Job Description: Relationship Banking Project Assistant (IRA/HSA Focus)
This position serves as a Project Assistant within the Relationship Banking department, with a primary focus on Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) for customers within Market 16 and Market 24.
1. Position Purpose
The core purpose of this role is to assist the HSA/IRA Specialist and gain comprehensive knowledge of the Relationship Banking department. This learning is achieved by actively participating in and managing various IRA and HSA-related projects specifically tailored for clients in Market 16 and Market 24. It’s an opportunity to develop specialized banking knowledge and practical skills.
2. Duties, Scope, Responsibilities & Authority
The individual in this role will be responsible for a range of projects centered around IRA and HSA customer accounts within the designated markets. This involves a close working relationship with the HSA/IRA Specialist, contributing to critical financial operations and customer service initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
• IRA Required Minimum Distribution (RMD): Assisting with projects related to the calculation, notification, and processing of IRA Required Minimum Distributions, ensuring compliance and timely execution.
• Electronic File Conversion: Working on initiatives to convert existing IRA contracts into electronic files, integrating them into the Central Archive system for improved efficiency and accessibility.
• IRA Exception Report Assistance: Providing support in reviewing and addressing issues identified within IRA exception reports, which may involve researching discrepancies or coordinating corrective actions.
• HSA Benefit Meetings Coordination: Assisting with the coordination and organization of HSA benefit meetings, which could involve scheduling, preparing materials, or handling logistics to ensure successful client engagement.
• Compliance Adherence: Maintaining strict compliance with all applicable banking regulations, including the vital Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and adhering to all information security initiatives to protect sensitive customer data and financial integrity.
