Overview: As a Relationship Banker at East West Bank, you will be an integral part of a world-class team committed to delivering a high-quality, high-touch, and high-tech relationship banking experience across all customer touchpoints. This role is pivotal in:

  • Managing, retaining, and acquiring long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with our customers.
  • Identifying and understanding customers’ long-term financial needs and offering tailored product and service solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve quarterly and annual team/branch sales goals across a comprehensive range of products, including C&I, CRE, SBA, mortgage, treasury management, deposits, wealth management investment products, international deposits/wires, and other commercial and consumer products.
  • Source and develop loans, including but not limited to HELOC, Residential Loans, and Commercial Loans.
  • For MLO positions only: Comply with annual renewals and all regulations for MLO, and demonstrate a strong understanding of interest rates, financing, and calculations to effectively service potential mortgage customers.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the bank’s deposit, loan, and ancillary products, including understanding the qualifications required for each.
  • Assist customers with diverse financial needs such as cash withdrawals, deposits, transfers, loan/credit card payments, wire transfers, and foreign currency exchange.
  • Demonstrate a highly motivated, self-starter approach with a strong work ethic and focus on results, always prioritizing clients’ best interests.
  • Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively meet clients’ needs.
  • Engage and partner collaboratively with team members and other lines of business to offer the most appropriate products to customers based on their specific needs.
  • Communicate effectively and confidently when engaging with clients.
  • Quickly learn products, services, and technologies, and effectively educate customers on how to conduct banking transactions online, via mobile app, and through self-service portals.
  • Become an expert in using digital resources and technologies to optimize clients’ digital banking experience.
  • Possess a strong desire and ability to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of customer service, teller, sales experience, and MLO experience within the banking and/or financial service industry highly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of branch operations.
  • Proven success in a consultative relationship sales role in a related industry, with a track record of establishing new clients, deepening customer relationships, and delivering results.
  • Professional and thorough, with strong follow-up skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and technologies.
  • Strong familiarity and fluency with branch technology, mobile, and online banking platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and customer-service skills.

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is USD $20.00/Hr. – USD $21.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
