Registered Respiratory Therapist – Full-Time Night Shift

About Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital has proudly served residents across Southeast Michigan since 1953. With 632 beds, it stands as a major teaching and research hospital, hosting five residency programs and a cardiology fellowship in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine. The hospital is verified as a Level II trauma center and accredited by the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center. Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is also renowned for clinical excellence and innovation in key fields such as orthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart and vascular, and cancer care.

Scope of Work

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for a range of critical duties, including:

  • Implementing and evaluating diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
  • Participating actively in the education of patients, students, staff, and physicians regarding respiratory care.
  • Providing essential technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care.
  • Assisting with general departmental functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following qualification requirements:

  • Required Education: Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Required Licensure:
    • LIC-Respiratory Therapist – State of Michigan, required within 90 days of hire.
  • Required Certifications:
    • CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry – NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care, required within 90 days of hire.
    • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association OR ARC American Red Cross, required upon hire.
