Job Description
This is a Registered Nurse (RN) position for a healthcare facility in Rutland, Vermont.
Role Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the healthcare team, advocating for patients and utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide care for all age populations along the health continuum. The RN is expected to base their practice on scientific, evidence-based knowledge and to partner collaboratively with the patient, family, and care team to deliver holistic care and achieve optimal patient outcomes. The role recognizes the integral part each stakeholder plays in patient care.
Professional Standards & Practice:
The RN is required to be knowledgeable regarding the professional scope of practice and adhere to the ANA (American Nurses Association) nurse practice standards, meeting these standards legally, professionally, and ethically. Compensation & Benefits:
• Sign-on Bonus: Available for New Hires.
• Competitive Differentials:
• $4.25 for 2nd shift.
• $8.00 for 3rd shift.
• $4.75 for Weekend shifts.
• Pay Range: $34.52 – $58.40 per hour.
Minimum Education Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is preferred.
• New Graduate Nurses are required to successfully complete the RRMC Nurse Residency Program, with participation beginning post-hire.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
• Prior related nursing experience is preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
• Licensed in the State of Vermont.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Unit-specific certifications as required by the particular department’s operational framework (e.g., ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course, PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support, ENPC – Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course).
• Completion of an endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification, based on specific unit guidelines.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrates moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
