Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Pay Range: $34.52 – $58.40

Role Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) advocates for patients and employs the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the care of all age populations across the health continuum. The role emphasizes partnering with the patient, family, and care team to provide holistic care and achieve optimal outcomes. The RN is expected to be knowledgeable about the professional scope of practice and the ANA nurse practice standards, adhering to these legally, professionally, and ethically. The position requires flexibility, allowing the RN to make care decisions based on the patient’s condition, continuously reassessing and prioritizing according to individual needs.

Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
BSN preferred.
New Graduate Nurses are required to successfully complete the RRMC Nurse Residency Program, with participation commencing post-hire.

Minimum Work Experience:
Prior related nursing experience preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications:
Licensed in the State of Vermont.
BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
Unit-specific certifications as required by the department’s operational framework (e.g., ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC).
Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification based on unit-specific guidelines.

Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities:
Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing, including relevant knowledge and skills.
Demonstrates moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
