Travel Nurse RN – ICU – Intensive Care Unit – $1,637 per week | AMN Healthcare Nursing
The Tone:
This is a travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Concord, North Carolina. This role is critical for delivering specialized intensive care services to patients across various facilities within a defined region, ensuring consistent, high-level medical attention where it is most needed.

• Mission: Provide specialized intensive care nursing to patients in various facilities within Region 1 hospitals.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care: Manage critical care drips, including insulin, vasopressors, and sedation, to maintain patient stability.
• Line Management: Oversee the management of invasive lines such as arterial (ART) and central venous pressure (CVP) lines.
• Monitoring: Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage chest tubes for patients requiring respiratory support.
• Respiratory Support: Manage ventilators and administer blood products as necessary for critical patients.
• Wound Care: Perform wound care and dressing changes to prevent infection and promote healing.
• Floating: Float to any facility within Region 1, which includes Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and the Central Division hospitals (CMC Main, Mercy, LCH).
The Must-Haves
• Background: Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Experience: Provide one professional reference from the last 12 months, and complete a skills checklist within the last 12 months. Requires a permanent address located over 50 miles from the assignment facility.
• Skills: Demonstrated general ICU skillset including critical care drip management, invasive line management (ART/CVP), cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube management, ventilator management, blood product administration, and wound care/dressing changes.
• Bonus: Preferred shift availability is 12 hours, days (0700-1900).
