Job Description:

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Unit: Memorial Belleville Medical Stabilization Med Surg (Three South Medical/Surgical Unit) – a 19-bed unit.
Schedule: Full-Time (FT), Nights
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 (for eligible candidates)
Compensation: Competitive pay based on the BJC RN Career Ladder, with potential for percentage increases based on career ladder advancement. BSN differential and Shift Differential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to nursing standards.
• Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on managing their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Participates in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family, or caregiver.
• Ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing
Experience: No prior experience required
License/Certification: Current RN license

Preferred Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
