Compensation & Benefits:
Pay Range: $34.52 – $58.40 per hour.
Sign-on Bonus: Available for new hires.
Competitive Differentials:
2nd Shift: Additional $4.25 per hour.
3rd Shift: Additional $8.00 per hour.
Weekend: Additional $4.75 per hour.

Role Summary & Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital advocate who applies the nursing process—encompassing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to care for patients across all age populations and along the entire health continuum. This process is grounded in scientific, evidence-based knowledge. The RN collaborates closely with the patient, their family, and the broader care team to deliver holistic care and achieve the best possible patient outcomes, recognizing the integral role each party plays.

The RN is expected to be proficient and knowledgeable regarding the professional scope of practice and adhere strictly to the ANA (American Nurses Association) nurse practice standards, fulfilling these standards legally, professionally, and ethically. The role demands flexibility, requiring the RN to make timely care decisions based on the patient’s evolving condition, continuously reassessing and prioritizing interventions according to individual patient needs.

Minimum Education:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
New Graduate Nurses are required to successfully complete the RRMC Nurse Residency Program, with participation commencing post-hire.

Minimum Work Experience:
• Prior related nursing experience is preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications:
• Current nursing license in the State of Vermont.
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association.
Unit-specific certifications as required by the particular department’s operational framework (e.g., ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course, PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support, ENPC – Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course).
• Completion of an endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification, based on specific unit guidelines.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing knowledge and skills.
• Possesses moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
