Senior Research Analyst – Fund Accounting | CRISIL

The Tone:
This is a Senior Research Analyst role at CRISIL. CRISIL specializes in providing crucial data, research, and analytics that empower financial institutions and market participants with informed decision-making. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the meticulous accounting and reconciliation for real estate private asset funds, directly supporting the integrity of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy across critical financial statements, and fostering investor confidence.

What You’ll Actually Do
• NAV Management: Perform independent Net Asset Value (NAV) reviews, encompassing thorough analysis, wire preparation, and diligent management of treasury templates.
• Comprehensive Reconciliation: Conduct extensive reconciliations across cash, positions, general ledger balances, bank accounts, capital calls, and distributions, with a focus on investigating and resolving all identified breaks.
• Real Estate Asset Accounting: Provide essential support for complex real estate asset accounting, meticulously tracking acquisitions, managing rental income, processing expenses, and overseeing financing activities.
• Reporting & Validation: Assist in the rigorous validation of Net Asset Value (NAV) and investor reporting packages, while consistently maintaining detailed and accurate reconciliation logs.
• Process Enhancement & Collaboration: Actively contribute to the automation and continuous improvement of operational processes, working in close coordination with internal fund accounting, external administrators, custodians, and treasury teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce, suitable for a senior-level analytical role.
• Experience: 3-10 years of experience in fund accounting, asset servicing, or private markets operations.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, advanced reconciliation capabilities, and practical understanding of fund accounting platforms such as Investran, Yardi, eFront, or Geneva.
• Bonus: Preferred knowledge of real estate or private equity fund structures.
