R&D Intern Job Description:

This internship offers a unique opportunity to join the Hershey Company’s Research & Development team at their Technical Center in Hershey, PA. As an intern, you’ll be actively involved in evaluating new technologies and ingredients, contributing to the development of new products, and enhancing existing processes.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Research & Development: Work alongside experienced scientists and engineers to investigate new discoveries, develop product concepts, and transform them into prototypes.
• Project Execution: Lead and participate in experimental designs, conduct experiments, and meticulously report your findings.
• Hands-on Experience: Become proficient in using benchtop development equipment, evaluating prototypes, analyzing experimental data, and executing experiments on pilot scale equipment.
• Collaborative Environment: Interact with a diverse team of professionals, including scientists, product developers, marketing specialists, consumer researchers, and managers.
• Potential Focus Areas: Explore various fields within R&D, including product development, technical front-end innovation, process excellence, or sensory sciences.
