Job Description: R&D Team Member
Cadence is seeking a talented individual to join an expert R&D team dedicated to creating cutting-edge technologies and products. This team focuses on enabling static and dynamic transistor level analysis and characterization of the most advanced custom digital and mixed-signal circuits, specifically those built for the rapidly evolving communication, IoT (Internet of Things), and AI (Artificial Intelligence) markets.
The work in this role will be primarily focused on three key areas:
1. Research and Development of Machine Learning Technology: You will be responsible for creating and implementing machine learning solutions aimed at achieving order of magnitude improvements in speed, capacity, and usability for the simulation and characterization processes of both digital and analog circuits.
2. Developing Infrastructure for Massive Parallelization: A significant part of the role involves building and enhancing infrastructure that supports the massive parallelization of characterization runs, which is crucial for handling complex and large-scale designs efficiently.
3. Development of Tools/Infrastructure for Characterization Data Mining: You will also contribute to the development of tools and infrastructure necessary for efficiently mining and analyzing characterization data, extracting valuable insights to improve design and performance.
Desired Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
• Industry experience in developing and maintaining applications based on C++ in a Unix or Linux environment.
• Demonstrated experience with quality and software processes, indicating an understanding of best practices in software development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in designing data structures, algorithms, and applying sound software engineering principles. This highlights the need for strong foundational computer science knowledge and practical implementation skills.
