Intern – RCM Accounts Receivable Support | Labcorp

This is a full-time internship at Labcorp, located in Burlington, NC with a hybrid work schedule. • Mission: Support Labcorp’s revenue cycle operations through initiatives focused on accounts receivable, billing processes, customer needs, and operational improvement.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on Accounts Receivable, billing processes, and overall revenue cycle improvement efforts.
• Analyze: Examine data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements within revenue cycle operations.
• Evaluate: Support an RCM margin initiative specifically focused on eClaims Assist and its application in physician office billing processes.
• Partner: Collaborate with the Sales team to gather customer feedback and assess interest in and potential use of the eClaims Assist tool.
• Organize: Structure and analyze project data to support informed business decisions and identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and customer experience.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program, working towards a degree in Business, Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years required, with a preference for rising juniors and seniors, and a focus on hands-on data analysis and project support.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics, strong project organization skills, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential business applications, along with the ability to work effectively across teams, navigate ambiguity, and adapt as project needs evolve.
