This is a nine-week summer internship program at BlackRock designed for students pursuing specialized master’s degrees in quantitative fields. The program aims to provide interns with insights into the daily responsibilities of an Associate at BlackRock.

Key aspects of the internship:

Real-world responsibilities: Interns will be given practical tasks and projects, providing valuable experience in the investment management industry.
Networking opportunities: The program includes social and networking events to help interns build connections with future colleagues.
Orientation and training: The internship begins with an orientation covering BlackRock’s mission, culture, principles, and its approach to serving clients. Interns will also receive formal training on the fundamentals of investment management.
On-the-job learning: Interns will work alongside experienced professionals and gain subject-matter expertise through practical experience and classroom sessions.
Development opportunities: BlackRock provides the resources and opportunities for interns to develop their skills and knowledge.

Who Can Apply:

Students enrolled in master’s programs in the following or related fields, and graduating between August 2026 and July 2027, are eligible.

• Analytics
• Computational Finance
• Financial Engineering
• Mathematics
• Other quantitative disciplines
• Relevant pre-master’s work experience is required

Important Application Information:

• Candidates can apply for only one program (e.g., Quantitative Master’s Internship Program or Summer Internship Program).
• Within that program, candidates can apply for up to two functions (e.g., Investment Research and Analytics & Modeling).
• Both opportunities must be applied for using the same program application.
• Withdrawing an application prohibits submitting another application for the same program this year.
• After submitting the application, candidates will receive an email to complete a pre-interview assessment, which must be completed within five days to avoid application withdrawal.

Salary Ranges (Semi-Monthly Rate):

Please Note, that the below salary ranges are impacted by location.

Client & Product Functions: $5,500 – $7,500
Corporate & Strategic Functions: $5,500 – $7,000
Investment: $6,500 – $8,500
Operations: $5,000 – $6,000
Technology: $6,500 – $8,000

Salary Ranges For Washington State Only (Semi-Monthly Rate):

Client & Product Functions: $5,000 – $6,500
Corporate & Strategic Functions: $4,500 – $6,000
Investment: $5,500 – $8,000
Operations: $4,500 – $5,500
Technology: $5,500 – $7,000
