Quantitative Data Analyst Summer Analyst Program | Bank of America

This is a full-time summer internship role at Bank of America, located in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, or NYC Metro. • Mission: Apply quantitative and analytical methods to understand and solve specific financial and risk management challenges.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Interpret Data: Extract, process, and interpret data to support decision-making, including the potential for complex modeling.
• Conduct Analysis: Conduct research and analysis, including assessing internal and public data, to provide micro and macro views of risk and/or financial management.
• Apply Knowledge: Apply quantitative and analytical knowledge to specific financial challenges and projects relevant to your business alignment.
• Develop Models: Apply mathematical and statistical models to understand and solve financial and risk management problems.
• Analyze Insights: Collect, clean, and analyze data to extract insights, utilizing data structures and data integration techniques.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Bachelor’s direct to Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Math, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a similar course of study.
• Experience: Graduation date between November 2027 and August 2028, aligning with the summer internship program.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in programming languages and analytical tools, including Python, SQL, R, C++, MATLAB, and/or Java; Understanding of data structures, data integration, and data cleaning.
• Bonus: Minimum 3.5 GPA preferred; Proficiencies in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Hadoop, and/or PowerBI, especially for candidates interested in the Data Analyst profile.
