Quality & Testing Intern | Gasser Chair

The Tone:
This is an internship at Gasser Chair, located in Youngstown, OH. Gasser Chair is a recognized leader in the design and manufacturing of high-quality seating solutions for the gaming and hospitality industries, partnering with well-known global brands. This role is vital to supporting the Quality team, providing hands-on exposure to critical quality systems, manufacturing processes, and product testing within a production environment. The intern’s contributions will directly help maintain the company’s rigorous quality standards.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Inspect materials, components, and finished products to ensure they consistently meet established quality standards.
• Conduct product and component testing activities, including documenting the procedures followed and the results obtained.
• Maintain precise and accurate records of all inspections, testing data, and quality-related findings.
• Identify and document any quality issues or non-conformances discovered during various operational stages.
• Gather and organize relevant data to support basic root cause analysis and corrective action efforts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Strong interest in manufacturing, quality systems, and product testing, with a desire to gain real-world experience in a production environment.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, an analytical mindset with problem-solving ability, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to follow structured processes while accurately documenting findings.
• Bonus: A basic understanding of quality principles or testing methods.
