Quality Systems and Business Process Software Engineer Co-Op – Fall 2026

The Opportunity:
Our site in Aurora, Illinois is seeking a Quality Systems and Business Process Software Engineer Co-Op for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration, beginning in June through December. This role is an integral part of our Quality Process Systems (QPS) team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting, enhancing, and modernizing our global Electronic Quality Management System (EQMS). Under the guidance of a Senior Engineer, you’ll help to troubleshoot system errors, improve system workflows through coding, and enhance our system integrations.
The Entegris Quality Process Systems (QPS) team owns and supports several critical systems and processes. Our EQMS system is a foundational application with a global footprint and high visibility. The business processes we support are critical to compliance and have a direct impact on our customers. The team, and this role, collaborate extensively with Quality, Operations, IT, and data teams across the globe.
What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshoot system issues: Investigate and diagnose system problems, determine their root causes, and develop permanent fixes to ensure system stability and performance.
- Enhance and expand system features: Utilize common software development tools and methodologies to improve existing features and develop new functionalities within the EQMS.
- Support and expand EQMS data integration: Assist in the integration of EQMS data with other critical business systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency.
- Support project activities: Participate in data cleanup efforts or other project-related activities as needed to support team objectives.
- Gain hands-on experience with key technologies: Depending on specific work assignments and projects, you may gain direct exposure to and work with technologies such as Python, ETQScript, REST APIs, Boomi, SAP connectors, SQL, JSON/XML, Git, or Azure DevOps.
What We Seek:
- A motivated, detail-oriented programmer with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
- Knowledge of common software development tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Python, ETQScript, or SQL.
- Familiarity with ETQ, SAP, or Boomi is a significant plus.
Desired Major & Graduation Year:
- Computer Science or similar engineering/technical major.
- December 2026 (or later) graduation year.
Eligibility:
- Must be a currently enrolled student in an accredited university program.
- Available to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday (8 AM – 5 PM), beginning in June through December 2026.
- Must be familiar with your university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program.
- Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery or other immigration sponsorship (e.g., TN, STEM OPT, etc.).

Compensation:
The compensation for this Co-Op role ranges from $20-$30 per hour, with the actual pay dependent on the candidate’s overall skills and qualifications for the role.
