Job Description:
This Quality Supervisor (QS) position is located in Stratford, CT on the 2nd Shift, supporting the backshops. The QS is responsible for all aspects of quality supervision of inspection hourly associates for backshop inspection. The position reports directly to a Backshop Quality Manager within the RMS Sikorsky line of business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Quality Supervision: Oversee all aspects of quality supervision for inspection hourly associates, ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures.
• Leadership and Process Improvement: Provide leadership to hourly personnel, identify and implement process improvement initiatives to support the Quality Organization’s key performance measurements, vision, and strategy.
• Collaboration with DCMA: Manage collaboration efforts with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) to ensure compliance with contract statement of work, quality management system, non-conforming material management, and corrective actions.
• Grievance Management: Manage the grievance escalation process as needed.
• Relationship Management: Maintain a collaborative relationship with the Local 1150 union.
• Training Management: Manage the training scheduling of hourly associates.
• Metrics Management: Manage metrics detailing hourly workforce labor hour activities.
• Business Objective Support: Support the execution and achievement of all applicable Lockheed Martin, RMS, and RMS Sikorsky business objectives.
Qualifications:
• Basic Qualifications:
• Appropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities, and provide succinct direction in a dynamic business environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining positive working relationships with customers.
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of Sikorsky processes and procedures related to aircraft production (e.g., Non-conforming material management, etc.).
• Knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement as applicable.
• Talent development and team building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and change.
• Strong working knowledge of problem solving/root cause analysis and process management.
Additional Information:
• Clearance Level: None.
• Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time – The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports various alternate work schedules, including 4×10 hour days with 3 days off per week.
