Job Description: Quality Intern

This is a Quality Intern position with Safran Cabin located in Carson, California. The Quality Intern will support the quality management team in ensuring the highest standards of quality for aerospace components and processes. The intern will gain hands-on experience in quality control, quality assurance, data analysis, and process improvement within the aerospace sector. The internship offers the opportunity to contribute to both daily operations and long-term quality initiatives, helping to enhance product reliability, safety, and performance.

Expected Outcomes:

• Reduce the number of parts and items actively rejected in MRB by proactively addressing the needs to move parts forward and providing support for any RCCA related to rejections.

Educational and Professional Growth Opportunities:

• The experience gained during the WWS Internship is applicable to a broad spectrum of industries (aerospace, computer sciences, automotive, among others).
• The intern will learn about the specific standards and regulatory requirements for the aerospace industry, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and FAA regulations, and how these influence quality practices.
• Intern will improve their proficiency in industry-standard tools and software used in quality management (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, ETQ, Net Inspect, and possibly management systems like ERP ‘M3”).
• Throughout the internship, the intern will receive mentorship from experienced quality engineers and other professionals and develop their technical, analytical, and soft skills in a real-world setting.
• The intern will gain insight into the manufacturing processes specific to aerospace, understanding how quality management fits within the production and assembly of aerospace components.
• The intern will gain experience in documenting findings, writing reports, and presenting quality-related information clearly and concisely.
• The intern will learn to collect, analyze, and report on quality data, including identifying trends, understanding root causes of quality issues, and helping to propose corrective actions or process enhancements.
