This internship is designed to immerse a motivated student into the Quality Assurance Engineering team, providing hands-on experience. The role is vital in supporting various projects aimed at cultivating a lean and efficient Quality program, directly impacting product reliability and adherence to essential industry regulations and standards.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Gainesville, FL
• Team: Quality team, reporting to Sr. Manager Supplier Quality
• Mission: Assist the QA Engineering team with various projects to advance a lean and efficient Quality program.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investigate: Provide support for comprehensive post-market complaint investigations.
• Plan: Assist with inspection planning, requirements generation, and the execution of manufacturing quality initiatives.
• Resolve: Support efforts to facilitate the timely resolution of product non-conformities.
• Assess: Aid in the creation and ongoing assessment of risk management files for products.
• Document: Help create essential Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Forms.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or an equivalent field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Must be currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a bachelor’s program or in the final year of a graduate program within Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Material Sciences.
• Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and effective interpersonal skills necessary to work collaboratively in a team environment.
