Job Description: Public Relations Intern (Unpaid)

Moodhouse is seeking a dynamic and motivated Public Relations Intern to gain hands-on experience in the PR industry. This is an unpaid internship, ideal for college credit, offering flexible remote work (minimum 5 hours/week) from May to July.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with media outreach and research: Identify and contact relevant journalists and media outlets.
Help craft and proofread press releases and media materials: Contribute to the creation of compelling and accurate press materials.
Monitor media coverage and track press mentions: Track the success of PR efforts by monitoring media outlets and social media.
Support the planning and execution of PR campaigns: Contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive PR strategies.
Assist in maintaining client relationships and media lists: Help maintain accurate and up-to-date contact information for clients and media.
Contribute to social media and blog content creation: Develop engaging content for social media platforms and company blogs.
Participate in team brainstorming sessions: Contribute creative ideas and solutions during team meetings.
Perform administrative tasks as needed: Handle various administrative duties to support the team.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college/university program, pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in writing and verbally.
A strong interest in the public relations and media industries: Genuine passion for the field.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Creative and proactive with a willingness to learn: A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
Strong research skills and familiarity with social media platforms: Proficiency in conducting research and utilizing social media for professional purposes.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a remote team: Ability to work both independently and as part of a remote team.
Must be available for at least 5 hours per week: Commitment to dedicating sufficient time to the internship.
• Prior PR, communications, or media-related experience is a plus but not required.
