Job Description:

This is a unique Public Relations internship offering a wide range of experiences. The role is not strictly defined and emphasizes a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: The daily tasks are varied and could include:

Media Relations: Assisting with media visits, pitching stories, providing media assets, and hosting events.
Content Creation: Writing news releases, blog posts, and other marketing materials.
Event Support: Participating in photo/video productions in theme parks and resorts, including walkthroughs of new attractions and events.
Reporting & Analysis: Tracking media coverage and creating summary reports for senior executives.
Strategic Planning: Contributing creative ideas to support PR strategy, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Social Media Management: Utilizing platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X.
Presentation Development: Building presentations in Canva, Keynote, and/or PowerPoint.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Language Proficiency: Confirmed proficiency in speaking and writing Portuguese.
PR/Communications Experience: Previous internship or experience in a PR/Communications environment.
Journalism/Writing Experience: Reporting, writing, and editing experience with a student or professional news outlet (print, broadcast, or digital) or PR agency.
Content Familiarity: Understanding of the creative process for photography, video, and social content.
Media Engagement: Confidence and ability to engage with media.
Collaboration: Proven collaboration skills.
Social Media Knowledge: Familiarity with social media platforms.
Cultural Understanding: Proven understanding of Hispanic/Latin American celebrities, media, and heritage.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software (Canva, Keynote, PowerPoint).
Education: Seniors or recent graduates pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Advertising, or a related field. Must meet specific enrollment or graduation requirements (detailed in the original posting).

Preferred Qualifications:

Disney Experience: Previous Walt Disney World® Resort work experience.
PR Plan Development: Experience developing and implementing PR plans.
Presentation Skills: Ability to create compelling presentations.
Graphic Design: Expertise in graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).

Additional Information:

• This is a full-time, hybrid internship (requiring both on-site and remote work).
• The internship runs approximately January 2025 through June 2025.
