Job Title: Public Relations/Brand Activation Intern
Overview:
This is a hands-on internship for a creative and driven student passionate about public relations, influencer marketing, and experiential brand engagement. The primary goal is to amplify the brand’s presence on university campuses and across various digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Media Outreach: Draft and distribute compelling media pitches specifically to university news outlets and student publications.
• Sorority Engagement: Proactively reach out to individual sorority chapter PR liaisons to book pop-up shop events, aiming to boost brand awareness.
• Influencer Management: Research and identify social media influencers who align with current campaigns and brand values. Maintain a detailed and organized list of all contacts and outreach efforts.
• Partnership Coordination: Coordinate outreach and establish partnerships with qualified influencers for seasonal and campaign-based promotions.
• Event Scheduling: Contact sorority chapters and various university organizations to schedule branded pop-up shop activations on campus.
• Event Execution: Assist with the comprehensive planning and execution of pop-up events, which includes setup and breakdown. Availability for a few in-person events per month at FAU, UM, and nearby South Florida campuses is required.
• Marketing Support: Contribute to overall brand marketing efforts through brainstorming social media content, taking event photography, and actively engaging with the campus community.
• Trend Monitoring: Continuously monitor trends in campus culture, public relations, and social media, particularly those relevant to Greek life and collegiate fashion.
• Collaboration: Work in tandem with the Social Media Intern to ensure cohesive brand messaging and strategy.
Requirements:
• Academic Status: Must be currently enrolled in a college/university program and eligible to receive academic credit for the internship.
• Communication Skills: Possess strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Work Ethic: A self-starter with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation is necessary to attend local South Florida events.
• Social Media Fluency: Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and a keen awareness of emerging influencer trends.
• Greek Life Interest: An interest or background in Greek life is preferred, though not strictly required.
• Meeting Availability: Ability to meet weekly via Zoom to discuss project progress and updates.
