Job Description: Public Policy Internship (Summer 2025)
This internship offers students hands-on experience within TikTok’s Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team. The team’s work encompasses government affairs and relations, policy expertise, risk management, outreach, coalition building, and philanthropy. The overall mission is to mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok while fostering a supportive environment for the company’s growth and innovation.
The internship program aims to provide:

Responsibilities:
Interns will work on one of the Public Policy teams and will:
• Track relevant legislation at the Federal and State levels.
• Monitor legislative hearings relevant to tech policy.
• Draft memorandums and documents related to Federal and State legislation and tech-related updates.
• Attend tech-related events.
• Assist the Public Policy team in reaching policymakers.
• Generally work with the Public Policy team to advance the company’s goals.
Qualifications:
• Minimum Qualifications: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in public policy, political science, or a related tech-policy discipline. Must be able to commit to a 12-week internship during Summer 2025. Must obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Graduating December 2025 or later, with the intention of returning to their degree program after the internship. Strong responsibility, interpersonal skills, and teamwork abilities are highly valued.
