Job Description:
This is a two-year rotational program within Cargill’s Protein North America division, offering a unique opportunity to gain experience in both Operations and Supply Chain. You’ll spend one year in a Plant Operations role at one of their facilities across North America, followed by another year in a Supply Chain role at either a plant location or their headquarters in Wichita, KS. There’s also a two-year Supply Chain-only option based in Wichita, KS.
During the Plant Operations rotation:
• You’ll gain hands-on experience in a production environment, familiarizing yourself with plant operations workflows.
• You’ll shadow and learn across different plant teams and departments, including Operations, Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, Food Safety Quality & Regulatory, Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Human Resources, and Accounting.
• This rotation will prepare you for a Plant Operations Supervisor role upon program completion.
• The work environment requires moderate physical exertion and may involve exposure to heat, cold, wet environments, and shifts including 2nd and 3rd shift and weekend hours.
During the Supply Chain rotation:
• You’ll gain hands-on experience and ownership within a Supply Chain role, exploring various teams including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Scheduling & Production Planning, Data & Analytics, Warehouse & Inventory Management, Materials Management, Merchandising, and Customer Replenishment.
• You’ll tackle real challenges, cultivate curiosity, have client exposure, and experience both personal and team accomplishments.

Compensation and Benefits:
• Expected salary: $65,000

Job Locations and Timing:
• You’ll be based at one of their 35+ plant locations across North America or their Protein Headquarters in Wichita, KS (Supply Chain Rotation only).
• Relocation is possible during the program.
• The program begins in January or June of 2025, based on graduation date.
Required Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited program in supply chain, operations management, procurement, statistics, mathematics, computer science, information technology, engineering, MIS, or other related agriculture/business fields.
• Graduating between Fall 2023 and Spring 2025.
• Right to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Willing and able to relocate.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and weekends (during Plant Operations rotation only).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Previous internship or work-related experience
• Strong aptitude for business
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Prioritization and problem-solving skills, collaboration skills, communication skills, and information gathering skills.
