Software Project Manager | Motorola Solutions

The Tone:

This role is instrumental in identifying potential project breakdowns, implementing corrective changes, and proactively finding creative solutions to constraints to ensure successful, on-time project completion, thereby helping to build a safer future.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead project planning: Write, implement, and continuously measure project plans utilizing automated project management tools and processes.
• Drive on-time delivery: Build, maintain, and communicate comprehensive project launch plans, meticulously tracking deliverables, milestones, resource allocation, and dependencies.
• Manage risk and escalation: Proactively anticipate issues, explore contingency plans, and provide effective escalation management throughout all project phases.
• Oversee solution implementation: Be fully accountable for the successful implementation and professional hand-off of solutions to long-term Support and Success teams.
• Act as primary liaison: Serve as the central point of contact for customers, channel partners, subcontractors, and internal staff for all project-related matters.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree, with expertise in project management specifically for SaaS solutions.
• Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience working with SaaS solutions, including demonstrated success navigating and leading agile projects within highly matrixed organizational structures.
• Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills; ability to articulate the business and financial implications of project decisions; proficiency in developing project documentation and utilizing cloud-based document management systems; strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders.
• Bonus: Master’s Degree; PMP, PMP-ACP, or equivalent agile certifications; experience with Public Safety communications systems and understanding of local public safety customers (police, fire, EMS); experience with Monday.com, Salesforce, or Zendesk.
