Project Manager West Region – Remote | Motorola Solutions
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Motorola Solutions, located remotely in the USA with a preference for PST/MST alignment. Motorola Solutions builds and connects technologies to help protect people, property, and places, fostering collaboration for safer communities globally. This role is critical for deploying Next Generation 911 solutions through the RapidDeploy product line, directly impacting emergency response outcomes and ultimately saving lives by ensuring successful technology implementation for public safety customers.
The TL;DR

• Pay: $90000–$100000 yearly
• Team: Focusing on the RapidDeploy product line
• Mission: Manages the entire lifecycle of customer deployment from kick-off to production go-live, ensuring success for strategic and high-complexity customers in public safety.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Projects: Personally manage implementation projects for customers, primarily large and complex strategic engagements.
• Support Stakeholders: Provide direct support to client stakeholders across all organizational levels to coordinate implementation activities and ensure appropriate communication.
• Oversee Project Lifecycle: Proactively manage project scope and schedule, as well as manage risks and issues with related mitigation strategies throughout project execution.
• Configure Products: Develop a deep understanding of RapidDeploy products and configure them to meet specific customer needs.
• Contribute to Engagement: Contribute to customer onboarding, training, acceptance testing, change management activities, and support sales activities like RFP responses and SOW creation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level, leading complex, strategic technology projects in a client-facing role, with a focus on deploying software applications.
• Experience: 5+ years in Project and/or Program Management, hands-on experience managing multiple simultaneous customer implementations in multi-stakeholder environments, and experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Skills: Creating and managing project schedules with complex dependencies, analyzing customer needs and configuring software applications, understanding and experience with Waterfall and Agile (Scrum, Kanban) methodologies, and utilizing modern Project Management tools.
• Bonus: Experience managing Enterprise SaaS deployments, experience serving the Public Safety industry including managing software deployment projects for PSAPs, knowledge of public safety industry technologies and market landscape, and a background in configuring and deploying public safety software.
