The Tone:
This is a full-time role at AtkinsRéalis, located in Ontario, Canada, with required travel. AtkinsRéalis is a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization, a steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology, transforming infrastructure and energy systems globally. This role is crucial for the end-to-end delivery of long lead equipment and components for the MONARK-D program, ensuring critical project milestones and construction needs are met safely and compliantly.

• Team: Reporting to Project Director
• Mission: Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of assigned long lead equipment and component scopes within the MONARK-D program.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead assigned long lead equipment and component scopes from concept and design through procurement, fabrication, delivery, and construction readiness, ensuring all scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and contractual objectives are met.
• Coordinate preliminary and detailed design, specification development, and technical review activities, effectively managing design interfaces between equipment suppliers, engineering organizations, and other plant systems.
• Manage procurement strategy, supplier performance, and commercial aspects, overseeing fabrication and manufacturing activities to align with integrated project schedules and critical path requirements.
• Ensure equipment delivery supports construction sequencing and installation requirements, coordinating transportation, preservation, storage, handling, and constructability reviews for site readiness.
• Develop and maintain scope, schedule, cost, and performance baselines for assigned equipment packages, actively managing risks, assumptions, issues, and opportunities, and supporting forecasting and executive-level progress reporting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification; Manager level.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of project management experience in large-scale engineering, infrastructure, energy, nuclear, or industrial projects, with demonstrated experience managing major equipment packages through all lifecycle phases. Experience includes coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering organizations, external suppliers, integrated schedules, critical path activities, forecasting, recovery planning, supplier oversight, contract management, and manufacturing progress monitoring.
• Skills: Strong understanding of project lifecycle delivery, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning interfaces; strong understanding of risk management, change control, and performance reporting processes; demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder and interface relationships; excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Bonus: Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated environments is preferred; willingness to travel to supplier facilities, fabrication shops, and project sites as required.
